at the moment i have 3 female geckos ranging from 12 to 5 years old.i would like to introduce a male into the colony.can you give some advice about what age,etc i should get.all of my geckos were bred by my brother and the local reptile shop sells what looks like unhealthy small geckos.i dont want to risk buying from there as i have had trouble with a breaded dragon before.if you can recommend anyone or thing that would be great.

My advice would be to make sure all the geckos are of a similar size and weight keep an eye out for any bullying, as for where to get your geckos from I would suggest a private breeder they tend to take care of there geckos more than pet shops who are in most cases are just out to make a profit there are several good private breeders on the internet it all depends how much you can afford and where in the country you are i should have some available soon.Please be aware should you put a male in with your females they will at some point breed and could potentially produce a large number of eggs you need to make sure you can cope with this please read my breeding page before you proceed
